A charming little house converted into a nice restaurant. We did not have a reservation and waited 35 minutes to be seated. One obvious point, since it's an old house it was COLD inside not any warmer than outside seating so dress warm on a cold day. Once seated we were greeted by a nice and helpful girl. You must try the Biscuits with butter and honey are delicious. The Beef and Macaroni with Cheese topped with Flaming Hot Cheetos was the bomb. We were all satisfied with the good food The Attic makes. Parking is difficult to find took us 15 minutes to find one. Will be back l.

Checked out this place for the first time and I like doing Happy Hours to get some reasonably priced samples in. Drink wise the HH menu is very reasonable but personally I want a fat margarita versus a skinny! Just not enough oomph in a skinny flavor wise. Their Old Fashioned was nice and smooth. Adding to my cholesterol levels we tried the Pimento Cheese first. Really nice and flavorful and loved the chewy bread and peppers that it came with. Having lived in Nashville for 20+ years I thought it legit but perhaps too creamy versus using shredded cheese. Now the burger was fantastic and super nice that they cut it in half in the kitchen for us. Double smash burger patties with a light soft bun. Fresh tomatoes and lettuce. A real deal. Next was the gumbo which made me think I need to make some. Although their roux was good and flavorful there was little protein seen! Service was fantastic and friendly. The patio is cute and HH fills up quickly with locals! I live just a few miles away and took the 121 bus! I'll come back!

I really don't know what to say about this place. The ambiance is so good. Especially if you sit outside in the bar area. The had little fires burning near some tables and the breeze coming through was absolutely perfect. The service was top tier. Renny was so knowledgeable about the menu and guided us into the best decision of our foodie lives. We had the Chicken and Waffles and the Rice bowl. I really have no words about how perfect they both came out. I have not a single critique or complaint. Nothing but praise to this establishment. I can not wait to visit Long Beach again!

Checked out the Attic today for brunch. We made a special trip from the Brea area, to try this spot. We arrived pretty early, and we got seated right away. I guess it's recommended you make reservations because it gets pretty busy. Parking is very limited, so plan on parking far from restaurant specially when it's busy. We ended up ordering several popular dishes; the hot Cheeto Mac and cheese, the chicken and waffles, the pork belly bowl, and shrimp and grits. We really wanted to try the gumbo, but I guess they didn't have it ready for the day ( a little disappointing). Hot Cheeto Mac and cheese: not usually something I would order, but according to customer reviews, it's a must. My opinion, it was ok. The actual pasta noodle, was not the typical elbow macaroni, it was the spiral pasta. Sauce is white, super creamy, and it's flavorful but the hot Cheetos don't add anything to the dish. It could do without. Chicken and waffles: this was not good. Waffle had no flavor, chicken is heavily battered and chicken it was so thin, when you slice the chicken it was more batter than chicken. Chicken lacked flavor too. Shrimp and grits: very tasty and shrimp was cooked just right. Pork belly bowl: this is was really good. Very flavorful and lots of different textures and taste. Recommend this entree! Overall, it was good, would come back again, hopefully they have the gumbo next time.

Food was delicious. Had the Up Country Benedict and the sweet shrimp was perfectly cooked. Pork croquette paled in comparison. Service was on point and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Love the dog friendly patio.

first time to attic with my friends while visiting in town. I ordered the gumbo which satisfied my craving, finished it and lick the bowl clean. Service was good and super helpful in narrowing down drink choices. The ambience was a outdoor bar with heaters along with inside service. Would probably come back again to try the other things

Ugh. I dunno. 3.5 stars? Damn near 4? The ambiance is great, but the food was ever so slightly underwhelming. I rounded up because service was good and they take reservations. Vegetarian review: - mac & cheese: pretty good. I don't know if the hot Cheetos does anything for it, but the crunch was good. It's not super cheesy; it's more like a light cheese sauce, but still good. Cauliflower: the lentil stuff below it was kinda just ok, but the cauliflower itself was battered, lightly fried, and tasty. Corn bread: no corn in it, and sweet because of the honey drizzle. It's more a shower of honey than a drizzle, but good for those who like their corn bread on the a sweeter side. Parking: itty bitty lot. You might have to find street parking, but on a weekday at 7pm, there were some spots.

I've been wanting to trying this place for quite some time now. Heard lots of good things so it was on the list. We finally made it for brunch in a Saturday. Check in with hostess but was told that it would be a little wait as they were short of staff. On a Saturday, odd. But whatever, we walked around for a bit. We got text and seated outside along the wall near the bar. It was quite cozy and heaters helped. Menu did look good as well as cocktails list. Mac answered Cheetos was a must try as we heard good things and seemed to see it on everyone's table. Also, Bloody Mary was great. Also went with gumbo, Nashville chicken sandwich and the sizzling rice bowl and a side of fries. The gumbo with rice was excellent. The flavors were great, sandwiches were great and chicken was cooked nicely. The rice hot bowl, was the best. The flavors all blended really well. Least favorite was the Mac and Cheetos. It wasn't doing it for us. Didn't see what the hype was. Maybe if we added some sort of protein. Overall, food was good. Service was nice and it's also pet friendly. Would like to experience dinner one night.

Great ambiance in the patio seating. You can sit in the house, in the bar area or outside. All great choices but we like the outdoor patio the best. The servers are all very welcoming and knowledgeable of the ever changing menu. FOOD: Up Country Benedict - poached eggs, crispy anson mills grits cake, smoked pork croquette, shrimp, mustard seed hollandaise and market lettuces. Check out the pictures! This plate was unique and delicious. Eggs cooked just right, fluffy and oozing! Biscuit and Gravy - andouille sausage gravy poured over some fresh handmade biscuits. Topped with fried eggs and scallions. Another delicious and filling plate! I wanted to lick the plate clean! The whole meal and experience was delightful. We will definitely be returning. Thanks again Attic! PARKING: They have a rear parking lot and street parking
